Audiovisual Workshops in Barcelona.
If you’ve searched for a projection mapping or TouchDesigner workshop in Barcelona, you’ve probably noticed there aren’t many places actually running them let alone in a space built for the kind of large-scale projection and real-time visuals this work demands. That’s exactly the gap we set out to fill at The (22) Studio.
Why hands-on, and why here.
Real-time visuals, generative art, and mapping have a strong presence in music videos, live shows, and gallery installations today. These tools are powerful, but notoriously hard to learn alone – most people hit a wall trying to follow tutorials without anyone to ask “why isn’t this working” in real time.
That’s the problem our workshop programme is built to solve. Rather than a lecture, our sessions are hands-on, small-group, and run inside our 240sqm studio in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat ; including our L-shaped cyclorama (10×5×3.2m, full blackout), which means participants aren’t just learning the software, they’re seeing their work projected at full scale, the same way it would run in a real installation or live show.

Each session has been shaped around the artist’s own practice, so participants aren’t just learning generic tutorials ; they’re learning the specific techniques and workflows a working artist actually uses.
Who it's for.
Our workshops are built for a range of levels ; from complete beginners curious about real-time visuals, to intermediate creators looking to tighten up their workflow. Group sizes stay small (typically 15–20 people) so there’s real access to the artist leading the session, not just a room watching a screen.
What's next.
We’re continuing to grow this programme across all creative fields photography, creative coding, digital arts, and beyond. We’re also very much open to AI; it’s a conversation we need to be having, as well as to any art form developed through technology, whatever shape that takes.
